Trial sites on Squarespace are private by default and only accessible to the site owner and creator. To view your trial site, simply enter the site URL (found in your welcome email) and log in with your credentials.

Want to share your trial site with others? You can add a site-wide password to grant visitor access without editing permissions. This allows you to:

  • Test your site across different platforms
  • Get feedback from friends and family
  • Preview how visitors will experience your site

To share your trial site:

  1. Set up a site-wide password
  2. Share the built-in domain (without /config) with intended visitors
  3. Provide them with the password you created

Note that trial sites remain hidden from search engines even with password protection. To make your site fully public and visible to search engines, you'll need to upgrade to a paid plan.

Visitor Access Process:

  • Visitors enter the site URL
  • They'll be prompted for the password
  • After entering the password, they can browse the site

Quick Tip: Always verify the URL you share doesn't include "/config" at the end, as this is for admin access only.
