Add Order Notes: Guide to Managing Internal Order Comments in Squarespace

Private notes keep important details about orders and customer interactions visible only to page owners, administrators, and shop managers. Here's how to manage order notes effectively:

Adding Notes (Computer):

  1. Open Products & Services menu and select Orders
  2. Click to open specific order
  3. Select Notes tab
  4. Enter note text
  5. Click Save

Adding Notes (Mobile App):

  1. Tap Orders
  2. Open specific order
  3. Tap Internal Notes
  4. Tap Add Note or +
  5. Enter note details
  6. Tap Save or ✓

Deleting Notes:

  • Computer: Hover over note and click trash icon
  • iOS App: Tap Seller Notes > Edit > Delete icon > Confirm
  • Android App: Tap Internal Notes > Swipe left on note > Delete > Confirm

Important Considerations:

  • Notes remain private and won't appear in printed orders or email notifications
  • Saved notes display date, time, and contributor
  • Notes cannot be edited once saved
  • All note history is preserved for reference
