How to Use & Share Deeplink URLs in Squarespace 7.0 Galleries

Deeplink URLs allow you to share links directing visitors to specific images within your gallery pages in version 7.0. Instead of landing on the first image, visitors can access any image directly through a unique URL.

Requirements & Limitations

  • URLs must be under 250 characters
  • Not available for stacked galleries on mobile
  • Not supported on project pages, index pages, or gallery blocks
  • Must be logged out or use private browsing to test links

Finding Your Deeplink URL

  1. Open the Pages panel
  2. Click your gallery page
  3. Hover over the desired image and click to open image editor
  4. Select the Options tab
  5. Find the assigned deeplink URL in the Image URL field

Customizing Deeplink URLs Simply replace the text after your gallery name and backslash in the Image URL field for a shorter, more memorable URL.

Sharing Links

  1. Log out or use incognito mode
  2. Navigate to your gallery page
  3. Go to the specific image
  4. Copy the URL from your browser
