Follow these steps to connect a Squarespace domain to your Squarespace site:
Prerequisites:
- Domain must be parked and not connected to another site
- Domain and website must be on the same Squarespace account
- You need admin permissions for both the domain and website
Connect Your Domain:
- Go to domains dashboard
- Select your domain
- Click "Website"
- Choose "Connect existing website"
- Select target site
- Click "Next" and "Confirm"
Modify Domain Connection:
- Navigate to domains dashboard
- Select your domain
- Click "Website"
- Choose "Change connection"
- Select new target site
- Confirm changes
Remove Domain Connection:
- Access domains dashboard
- Click your domain
- Select "Website"
- Choose "Change connection"
- Click "Park this domain"
- Confirm removal
Important Notes:
- Billing and permissions remain separate when connecting domains
- Subdomains are treated as third-party domains
- You cannot connect a domain to a specific page
- To reconnect after using third-party services, remove all records and add Squarespace's default preset
