Managing Out-of-Stock Products Effectively

When products become unavailable, a "Sold Out" label automatically appears on both store and product detail pages. Customers won't be able to add these items to their cart, but you can enable a waitlist for back-in-stock notifications.

Setting Products as Sold Out

  1. Navigate to Products and Services panel
  2. Find the desired product
  3. Set stock level to "0"
  4. For variations, expand the arrow icon and set individual stock levels

Customizing the Sold Out Experience:

Label Text:

  • Modify "Sold Out" text in Product Status panel
  • Use custom text like "Fully Booked" or "Coming Soon"
  • Changes apply site-wide

Visual Appearance:

  • Store Page: Follows Products > Status styling
  • Product Detail Page: Matches Description styling
  • Product Block: White text on black background (v7.1)

Alignment Options:

  • Center aligned: Label appears below price
  • Left/Right aligned: Label shows on opposite side
  • Product detail pages: Always below price
  • Product blocks: Always on right side

Managing Variations:

  • Button display: Dimmed when unavailable
  • Dropdown menu: "(Sold Out)" label next to options
  • Option to hide sold-out status in dropdowns

Waitlist Feature: Enable customer notifications for when products return to stock, maintaining customer engagement during stockouts.

Best Practices:

  • Consider keeping sold-out products visible to showcase demand
  • Reorder products to move sold-out items to page bottom
  • Use low stock notifications through mobile app
  • Regular inventory management and updates
